Methodology

How we score WMS solutions

One simple rule: we count what the sources confirm. Your requirements are the yardstick — not fees, not opinions, not guesses.

Four principles behind every match

Your requirements are the yardstick

The WMS Finder turns your answers — operations, capabilities, ERP, cloud or on-premise — into a list of requirements. Every published profile is checked against that same list.

Only confirmed capabilities count

A requirement counts as met only when a source states it: the vendor’s official public material, a vendor statement or a FindWMS verification. We never fill gaps with assumptions.

Money does not change the order

Results are ordered by the number of confirmed requirements; ties are broken alphabetically. Sponsorship, plans and credits do not exist in the matching code.

Sponsored means labelled and separate

A promotional card may appear in its own “Sponsor” area, only when the product meets your selected ERP and deployment and at least 70% of your requirements. Its links are marked as sponsored for search engines.

A worked example

You pick three requirements. Here is how three products would appear:

ProductSAP integrationCloud deploymentExpiry / FEFO trackingMatch
Product A✓✓✓3/3 · 100%
Product B✓✓?2/3 · 67%

FEFO was not found in the sources, so it is shown as “not confirmed” — not as “not available”.

Product C is an ERP-native WMS built for a different ERP. It is not scored; it appears under “Excluded” with the reason.

✓ Confirmed by a source · ? Not confirmed in public sources

Where the information comes from

Every profile carries a label that tells you how its information was gathered:

Compiled from public sources

Collected from the vendor’s official public sources; not yet confirmed by the vendor.

Stated by the vendor

Declared by the vendor in its submission form.

Verified by FindWMS

Checked through a demo or a reference call.

A capability missing from a profile does not mean the product lacks it — only that we could not confirm it in a source.

What the match percentage is not

  • It is not a quality rating or a “best WMS” ranking.
  • It does not measure price, implementation quality or local support.
  • It does not replace a demo, reference calls or a proof of concept.
  • Being listed is not an endorsement; not being listed is not a criticism.

Spotted something wrong?

Vendors and readers can send corrections with a supporting source. We review every request and update the profile when the source confirms it. Write to info@findwms.com or use the vendor form.
